VVZ (Vast Verzet Zwolle) and EHBP (Enschede Hardcourt Bike Polo) organized a perfect day of polo. Over 30 player, from all over the country, gathered in Zwolle for a long day of throw-in-polo. Clear blue skies all day long made this a day to remember.
RTV Oost was there …
Also some very nice footage from the DIY video crane …
Bikepolo is not a boys-only sport. If you have ever seen footage from the Hell’s Belles – Ladies Bike Polo Tournament in London you know better. Take a look at the video or these pictures and you know where we are talking about.
In Utrecht we have Joanne as our own and only hell’s belle but there must be more fearless ladies out there in the city willing to play some bike polo. Do you like to give it a try? Just drop by at our weekly polonight on Thursday (20:00 – 23:00 Sportpark Koningsweg) or join our Facebook Group “Utrecht Hardcourt Bike Polo” to find out what’s going on.
Utrecht Bike Polo needs fresh blood. New players to be able to play more often serious 3 on 3 games. So we printed some poster and cards (spoke notes) to start promoting bike polo in Utrecht. For all of you who want to help us spreading these posters and cards, in bike shops, coffee bars, local hangouts or wherever you think potential polo players show up, please pick up some and start spreading the word POLO. Send us an e-mail at email@example.com so we tell you where to get some posters/cards.
It has been really quite on the polo field the last couple of months. Some players left Utrecht at the end of 2011 so the shortage of players made it difficult to play. Now the temperature is rising and days are getting longer, it’s time to get things started again.
In the month of May we like to start playing again on the Wednesday or Thursday evening. If you like to join us please contact us by joining our Facebook group or via the forum on hardcourtbikepolo.nl. We hope to see you soon on the court.
